The pectoral implant procedure

Through sedation and the use of the local anaesthesia, you will be good to go. To start with, if it is the fatty tissue, then the surgeon will make a hole that is not as deep as you would with a silicone implant. Between one hour and one hour and thirty minutes, the procedure will be through, leaving behind a small scar in one side of the chest. This scar is estimated at 5mm.

For the second option, you will have the incision measuring 4 mm and is usually done in the armpit region and in some exceptional cases, where the chest and the pectoral meet-usually along the crease.

Progressively, the indefatigable Dr Barnouti will make a pocket after lifting the tissue in the pectoral as well as the skin. Then, the implants are placed in the right place such that you will not ordinarily be able to detect them through processes such as palpitation. At most, this procedure will take you no more than 2 hours.

Post-pectoral implant surgery

After the surgery, you will have a bandage which has been compressed fitted in the chest area for 7 days to allow healing.

Recuperation

It is advisable that to keep sports to a bare minimum. When 7 days are over, the surgeon will remove the stitches as you wait for the bruising to end in 21 day’s time. As for scarring, this will be hardly be visible as time goes by.

Resuming normal duties.

Once you have taken day or two after surgery, you will be able to get the rest you wanted so much. Do not worry though, if you experience a burning sensation as it will disappear.
